A native to Colorado, Ingrid grew up loving the out of doors and many of the sports and activities it encourages. She has competed in several sports, including gymnastics, skiing (both alpine & nordic), track, biking, & running, but took to nordic skiing as her ultimate love!
Ingrid competed on the US Ski Team for 10+ years while she also attended & competed for the C.U. – Boulder Buffs. There, Ingrid met her husband of 28 years. They traveled the world together and apart, as Ingrid competed in numerous international races, three of which were Olympic Games – ’88, ’92, ’94.
Ingrid has called Gunnison home since 1997 and now has two beautiful children. She has been practicing Massage Therapy for 18 years and truly enjoys helping others take better care of themselves. In addition to massage, Ingrid also teaches fitness classes and directs / coaches, the Gunnison Nordic Team, with her husband.
Ingrid’s education includes graduating in 1988 on the Dean’s list at C. U. Boulder with a BS in Exercise Physiology while competing 4 years on the Varsity Ski Team. Her massage therapy was completed in 1994 at Utah College of Massage.
Ingrid currently practices at Heights Performance LLC and at the Main St. Clinic in Gunnison, CO. She serves clientele ranging from serious, young athletes to grandparents in their 80’s. It brings her great joy to help people feel better.
She uses a variety of massage techniques to bring a unique blend of benefits to each client, integrating Swedish, Sports, Trigger Point, and Deep Tissue. Ingrid was voted the “People’s Choice Award” for Best Massage Practitioner – 2011, 2012. She believes that every new day is a gift, and she thanks God daily for His many blessings!
