Kirsten Fraser Oldread has been a Massage Therapist since 2007. She graduated from MountainHeart Massage school in Crested Butte, completing over 900 hours. She has continued to study various massage techniques, taking over 100 hours of continuing education focused on Sports and Orthopedic Massage.
Kirsten’s experience growing up as a competitive gymnast and dancer provided a strong foundation for understanding the body kinesthetically as well as the benefits of self-care and attention to the body for achieving peak performance.
She is contracted with several insurance companies, including Blue Cross/Blue Shield, CNIC, as well as all Workman’s Compensation companies.
She has also worked as a Wilderness Instructor teaching summer and winter backpacking, snowshoeing, sailing, rock climbing climbing, and canoeing courses; a certified Wilderness EMT; a ski patroller; and a telemark ski instructor. She has hiked, sailed, and skied in the fjords of Norway, was a top three finisher in the National Telemark Big Mountain Free Skiing Competition, and just completed her first trail marathon.
When not massaging, Kirsten can be found skiing, trail running with her dog Pemi, hiking, cross-country skiing, and camping with her son, Wyeth, knitting, baking, or speaking Danish.
